iPhone 4S Rebel Pro Micro sim  can work on the Latest iOS 5.1.1 & Baseband 2.0.12 for BOTH the CDMA & GSM Flavours of the 4S.

The GSM iPhone 4S does not require Jail breaking but the CDMA iPhone 4S requires a Jailbreak to Fully work as a GSM 4S.

Before you can unlock the iPhone 4S using Turbo/Proxy simcards like Rebel 4S Micro simcard its required to Pre configure the card correct network code also know as IMSI  MCC+MCCN and some times the ICCID of the network simcard also required pre programming in to the Rebel 4S Micro sim.

The way to program the Rebel Pro 4S Micro simcard is to use the STK Rebel Menu which can be found under the Settings – Phone – Sim Application options in the iOS user interface.

The Rebel Pro 4S Micro sim STK  offers an array of options.

  1. The first Being able to set the Carrier Manually  from the Pre populated Network List that has the worlds major networks pre populated for you so you only have to press couple of buttons to complete Configuration. In the Examples we will be selecting the Verizon for the CDMA 4S Models to unlock.
  2. This the most  easiest way to configure the 4S card. For GSM 4S You only need a network simcard or the Rebel activation that comes pre programmed with your package.
  3. You also manually enter the IMSI & ICCID and these are advanced features and not required until Apple Activation servers allow the SAM technique to be used again based on the ICCID without jailbreak which we showed how to do with  the rebel activation card here few weeks back.

Unlocking iPhone 4S CDMA 5.1.1 & 5.0.1 With Jailbreak Converting CDMA Verizon or Sprint to GSM

First Jailbreak your 4S Using any Tool that supports 5.1.1

in Cydia install these below

From the repository v.backspace.jp/repo and install  prog CommCenter * patch

From the repository repo.bingner.com  and install  SAM

Connect the iPhone 4S to the PC and install iphone file browser from here as we are using this to do the mods  or you can also download ifile in cydia to do the steps or a FTP program.

For Verizon:
Remove the file in System / Library / Carrier Bundles/iPhone/310VZW/carrier.plist.

Next edit the file called carrier.plist in  System/Library/Carrier Bundles/iPhone/20404/carrier.plist using a plist editor. Copy the file to the PC and then upload as in video once you changed the Data

When you open the file look for some text like this

SupportedSIMs

<string>20404</string>                    This what you will find in the file
<string>310VZW</string>               we want to add this line

23410                  we want to add these lines with the network code of the simcard we wish to use and more than one can be added

<string>23420</string>                this is example of extra field for the uk three network

in the example video we added all the network in the UK so we can use any sim from uk.

Reboot the phone and the iPhone will forget it was ever a CDMA 4S and will be have like a GSM 4S and proceed with unlocking with Rebel 4S pro micro sim

for Sprint:

Remove the file in System/Library/Carrier Bundles/iPhone/310SPR/carrier.plist.

Next edit the file called carrier.plist in  System/Library/Carrier Bundles /iPhone /Unknown.bundle /carrier.plist  using a plist editor.

Copy the file to the PC and then upload as in video once you changed the Data

When you open the file look for some text like this

23410                  we want to add these lines with the network code of the simcard we wish to use and more than one can be added here is for uk 02

23420               this is example of extra field for the uk three network but you put your own network code of your simcard u wish to use

Reboot the phone and the iPhone will forget it was ever a CDMA 4S and will be have like a GSM 4S and proceed with next stage of unlocking with Rebel 4S pro micro sim
